HILLARY CLINTON: I think I’ve spent a lot of time with George and his family.
He’s a great guy, a great friend, and a very, very generous man.
He has given a lot to this country.
I’m the best friend anyone could ever ask for, and I love George.
And I know that his father, who’s a friend of mine, he said that George is the best man he ever met, and he said George has the best family.
I think that George and I have spent a fair amount of time together.
I have seen a lot.
I’ve talked to George, and his father has said, ‘You’re the greatest human being I’ve ever known.’
I think it’s a privilege to be in his presence.
And the last thing I want to do is to go into the political arena.
I really don’t care who I’m voting for.
It’s a different thing, and that’s why I’m focused on helping people.
I can’t imagine a better job to do than to serve this country, and it’s not something I ever imagined I would do.
So I think we are fortunate.
We’re lucky to have such a great country.
It seems to me that we can get away with so much and we can’t do anything about it.
That’s just the way the world is.
The world is changing, and the world needs change.
So that’s my message to everybody, and if you’re worried about what the world will be like, I’m sure the world has changed, and you’re not worrying about the world.
We’ve seen that, and so have we.
But I can tell you what I’m worried about.
Because if you’ve got an idea about what we should be doing, you have to go to the people who are actually doing it.
And that’s me, and George, because that’s what I want, is for us to do it together, and to help people.
And so we’ve seen how the world’s changing.
I don’t know how much longer we can keep this country together, but if we can do it, it’s better than it has ever been before.
We can get back to being a country that’s proud of who we are, and we have to do that, because the world seems to be changing.
And, look, if we don’t take action to make sure that the American people understand what we’re doing here, and are proud of the great things that we do, the world may not be the way it’s going to be, but I do believe that we have the capacity to do a lot better than we’re going to do in a very short period of time.
So let’s keep doing what we’ve done.
[APPLAUSE] PRESIDENT TRUMP: You know, when I saw George, I just thought, Wow, he’s so special, George Clooneys father, he has such a special heart.
So, thank you for being here, George.
It was so beautiful.
Thank, you, George and your family, George, George’s wonderful, wonderful, fantastic father.
